Golden Temple India

The Golden Temple is one of the most ancient and fascinating place of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the most sacred temple and a significant seat of Sikh history and customs.

The holiest place of Amritsar is the Hari Mandir or Harmandir which has become famous as “Golden Temple (Sri Darbar Sahib)” and in March 2005, it was renamed “Harmandir Sahib”.

The most famous Golden temple was originated by Guru Ramdas-the forth Guru of Sikhs and finished by Guru Arjan Dev-his successor.

The golden temple is famous for its scenic beauty and golden coating for English speaking world. The golden temple is the sign of strength and magnificence of Sikhs in all over the nation. The all Sikhs prefer to visit the golden temple and wish daily.

The history and ideology of Sikhism is interlaced in the development of the Darbar Sahib. The symbols associated with the other places of worship and architecture also included in it. Sikh philosophy put forward the spirit of endurance (tolerance) and acceptance.

The golden has become a very attractive holy place especially for Sikhs as it is very spiritual place. It becomes the most memorable place to all tourists. How to reach

By Air: The airport at Amritsar named Raja Sani International Airport offers outstanding services. The airport is fine linked by other parts of the country by regular flights. Now Jet Airways, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Air India also offer flights to Amritsar from Delhi, Birmingham and London.

By Rail: Amritsar is straight connected to Amritsar via rail route. It takes about 8 to 10 hours to reach Amritsar by train.

By Road: Grand Trunk Karnal Road connects Delhi to Amritsar. Regular buses are available from I.S.B.T. Delhi to Amritsar. You can decide from local, semi deluxe, deluxe and super deluxe buses offered by bus station.
